Ölümdən sonra nələrin baş verdiyini maraq edən beş tibb tələbəsi çox təhlükəli bir sınağa girişir: bir-birinin ürəyini qısa müddətliyinə dayandıraraq, hər biri ölümə yaxın bir anı təcrübədən keçirir. Bu, onlara ölümdən sonrakı həyat haqqında ilk mənbədən məlumat verir. Lakin sınaqları getdikcə daha təhlükəli hal aldıqca, hər biri keçmişdəki günahlarının təqibinə məruz qalır və o biri dünyaya keçməyin paranormal nəticələri ilə üzləşirlər.
