Gənc qardaşlar Vanya və Andreyin atası on iki illik ayrılıqdan sonra qəfildən geri qayıdır. Ata uşaqlarını tətilə aparmaq istəyir. Analarının icazəsi ilə atalarının həsrətini çəkən qardaşlar bu səyahətə hazırlaşırlar. Lakin uzun illərdən sonra ortaya çıxan ata obrazı uşaqların xəyalındəkindən tamamilə fərqlidir.
