Webster, Gus-dan istifadə edərək dünya iqtisadi sistemini məhv edəcək bir kompüter hazırlayır. Onlara mane ola biləcək yeganə şəxs, əlbəttə ki, Supermandir. Lakin Gus bunun da çarəsini tapır: Kriptoniti qəribə bir formulla qarışdıraraq, polad adamı öldürməyən, əksinə onu pis birinə çevirən bir silah əldə edir. Həqiqətən də, Superman insanlara kömək etmək əvəzinə, eqoist və şər bir varlığa çevrilir.
