Christopher Reeve bu filmdə təkcə dördüncü dəfə superqəhrəman pelerinini geyinmir... O, həm də filmin düşündürücü mövzusunun – nüvə tərksilahının formalaşmasına kömək edir. Nüvə silahı satıcıları üçün dünyanı daha təhlükəsiz etmək istəyən Leks Lütor (Gene Hackman) Polad Adamı sınağa çəkmək üçün yeni bir varlıq yaradır: radiasiya ilə yüklənmiş Nüvə Adam (Mark Pillow). Supermenin Azadlıq heykəlini xilas etdiyi, Etna vulkanındakı püskürmənin qarşısını aldığı və zədələnmiş Çin səddini bərpa etdiyi bu inanılmaz macərada iki düşmənin amansız mübarizəsinə şahid olacaqsınız. Həyəcan axtarışınız bu filmlə sona çatacaq.
