Film, günümüzdən 40 il sonra Berlində, miqrantlarla dolu problemli bir şəhərdə yaşayan lal barmen Leo Beilerin (Alexander Skarsgård) itkin düşən sevgilisini axtarmasından bəhs edir. Axtarışları zamanı amerikalı həkimlərdən ibarət qəribə bir qrupla qarşılaşması hadisələri daha da qarışıq bir hala salır və Leo kimdən qorxmalı olduğuna qərar verə bilmir.
