Filmde Jim Carrey, özünəkömək proqramına yazılan Carl Allen adlı bir şəxsi canlandırır. Sözügedən proqram tək və sadə bir prinsipə əsaslanır: hər şeyə "hə" demək. "Hə" kəlməsinin gücünü kəşf etmək əvvəlcə Carl-ın həyatını inanılmaz və gözlənilməz şəkildə dəyişir, lakin çox keçmədən anlayır ki, həyatını sonsuz imkanlara açmağın bəzi mənfi tərəfləri də ola bilər.
