Vortex, yaşlılıq və demensiyadan əziyyət çəkən bir cütlüyün həyatlarının son günlərinə nəzər salır. Gaspar Noé bu filmdə öz faniliyini də dərindən təhlil edərək, olduqca şəxsi bir baxış bucağı təqdim edir. Ölümün astanasına gəldiyi beyin qanaması və pandemiya dövründə keçirdiyi Covid-19 xəstəliyindən sonra ərsəyə gətirdiyi bu layihəni Gaspar Noé, qəlblərini itirməzdən əvvəl ağıllarını itirən insanlara həsr edir.
