Amerikalı Vicky və Cristina İspaniyada bir yay tətili keçirirlər və bu müddətdə cazibədar rəssam (Javier Bardem) və onun gözəl, lakin emosional cəhətdən qeyri-sabit keçmiş həyat yoldaşı (Penélope Cruz) ilə tanış olurlar. Vicky (Rebecca Hall) evlənmək ərəfəsində olan mühafizəkar bir qadındır. Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) isə cinsi macəralara açıq, azad ruhlu biridir. Tale yolları kəsişən bu insanların arasında yaranan sevgi münasibəti xaotik nəticələrə gətirib çıxaracaq. "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" hadisələrin baş verdiyi şəhərsiz təsəvvür edilməsi mümkün olmayan bir filmdir. Woody Allen sevgi və sənətin sərhəd tanımadığını unudulmaz bir hekayə ilə xatırladır.
