Sehrbazın cadusu səhv gedəndən sonra, XII əsr Qalliya cəngavəri Qraf Qodefroy de Papinkur və onun ağılsız xidmətçisi Jakuy la Fripiy özlərini 1993-cü ildə tapırlar. Müasir texnologiya qarşısında çaşqınlıq keçirən cütlük avtomobilləri dağıdaraq və xaos yaradaraq şəhəri bir-birinə vururlar. Nəhayət, onlar zadəgan nəslindən olan və onlara 1123-cü ilə qayıtmağa kömək edə biləcək Beatris de Montmirayla rastlaşırlar.
