“The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3” filmində Denzel Washington, adi bir iş günü cəsur bir cinayətlə – metro qatarının qaçırılması ilə xaos içində qalan Nyu-York metro dispetçeri Garber obrazını canlandırır. John Travolta isə ağır silahlanmış dörd nəfərlik dəstənin lideri və beyni olan Ryder rolunda çıxış edir; o, bir saat ərzində külli miqdarda fidyə ödənilməyəcəyi təqdirdə sərnişinləri öldürməklə hədələyir. Gərginlik artdıqca, Garber Ryder-i zəkası ilə üstələmək və girovları xilas etmək üçün metro sistemi haqqındakı geniş biliklərindən istifadə edir. Lakin Garber-in həll edə bilmədiyi bir müəmma var: oğrular pulu alsalar belə, necə qaça bilərlər?
