Böyük Kral Truva müharibəsindən qayıdıb, lakin onun yoxluğunda krallıqda çox şey dəyişib. Sevimli həyat yoldaşı Penelopa öz evində girov kimidir və kral olmaq istəyən namizədlər onun əl çəkmirlər. Oğulları Telemak isə onu özlərinə maneə hesab edən bu namizədlərin qarşısında ölüm təhlükəsi ilə üz-üzədir. Odissey də əlbəttə ki, dəyişib; müharibə onu çox yorub, artıq illər əvvəlki güclü döyüşçü deyil, lakin itirdiyi hər şeyi geri qaytarmaq üçün içindəki gücü yenidən tapmalıdır.
