Film, qazandığı çempionluqlarla dünyaca məşhur bir əfsanəyə çevrilən və illər sonra dopinqdən istifadə etdiyini etiraf edən Lance Armstrong-un qalmaqallarla dolu real hekayəsini bir jurnalistin gözü ilə təqdim edir. İdman yazarı David Walsh, Armstrong-un uğurunun arxasında dopinq dayandığına inanır və bu yalanı ifşa etmək üçün araşdırmaya başlayır. Lakin xərçəngi məğlub etdikdən sonra Amerikada xalq qəhrəmanına çevrilən Armstrong-un hiylə işlətdiyinə heç kim inanmaq istəmir.
