ABŞ ordusunun ən məşhur taktika mütəxəssisi general Eugene Irwin, Körfəz müharibəsi və Bosniyadakı uğurlarına görə ölkəsində qəhrəman kimi tanınan və orduda böyük hörmət bəslənilən bir əsgərdir. O, vəzifə başında aldığı bir əmri yerinə yetirmədiyi və 8 əsgərin ölümünə səbəb olduğu üçün on il müddətinə azadlıqdan məhrum edilir. Polkovnik Winterin rəhbərlik etdiyi yüksək təhlükəsizlik sistemləri ilə qorunan Castle hərbi həbsxanasına göndərilir. Haqsızlığa uğradığını düşünsə də, cəzasına razı görünür.
