Film, peşəkar qumarbaz və keçmiş hərbçi William Tell-in hekayəsindən bəhs edir. Tell sadəcə kart oyunları ilə məşğul olmaq istəyir, lakin Cirk adlı gəncin ortaya çıxması ilə həyatı dəyişir. Hırslı bir gənc olan Cirk, Tell-dən kömək istəyir. Tell, onunla ortaq maraqları ola biləcəyini düşünür. İkili, qumar maliyyəçisi La Linda-nın dəstəyi ilə kazinoları gəzməyə başlayırlar. Bu səyahət Tell-i qaçmaq istədiyi qaranlıq keçmişi ilə yenidən üz-üzə qoyacaq.
