The Brutalist filmi, İkinci Dünya Müharibəsindən sonra "Amerika arzusu"nu yaşamaq üçün ABŞ-a köçən, Macarıstan əsilli, Bauhaus təhsilli və Holokostdan sağ çıxmış memar Laslonun həyat yolundan bəhs edir. Əvvəlcə yoxsulluq içində işləməyə məcbur qalan Laslo, qısa müddət sonra həyatını 30 il boyunca dəyişdirəcək bir müqaviləyə imza atır. Yenilikçi kamera işləri, dramatik strukturu, qeyri-adi bucaq və kadrları, montajı, özünəməxsus səs dizaynı və parlaq aktyor heyəti ilə həm təəccüblü, həm də unudulmaz bir ekran əsəridir.
