1971-ci ilin sentyabrında oğrular Londonun Baker Street küçəsində yerləşən bankın anbarına tunel qazaraq daxil oldular və milyonlarla funt sterlinq dəyərində nağd pul və zinət əşyası olan seyfləri qarət etdilər. Oğurlananların heç biri tapılmadı, heç kim həbs edilmədi. Soyğun hadisəsi cəmi bir neçə gün manşetlərdə qaldı, daha sonra isə Böyük Britaniya hökumətinin mətbuata "D xəbərdarlığı" göndərərək onu susdurması ilə gündəmdən tamamilə çıxdı.
