Gerçək bir hekayədən ilhamlanan bu film, fransız kəndirbazı Philippe Petit-in 1974-cü ildə Dünya Ticarət Mərkəzinin əkiz qüllələri arasında həyata keçirdiyi cəsur gəzintidən bəhs edir. Film, Petit-in bu dəli xəyalını gerçəkləşdirmək üçün etdiyi hazırlıqları, qarşılaşdığı çətinlikləri və nəhayət, o tarixi yürüşü necə bacardığını təfərrüatlı şəkildə izah edir.
