Dünyaca məşhur ingilis yazıçısı Sarah Morton istirahət etmək və bir qədər də işləmək məqsədilə naşirinin Fransadakı evinə qonaq gəlir. Bir gecə naşirin gənc qızı Julie Sarah-ın həyatına alt-üst edici bir şəkildə daxil olur və yazıçının həyatındakı bütün sakitlik birdəfəlik pozulur. "8 qadın" filmi ilə həm dünyada, həm də ölkəmizdə tanınıb sevilən rejissor François Ozon bu filmində də daimi aktrisası Charlotte Rampling-dən (Qumun altında) imtina etmir. Bununla kifayətlənməyərək, "8 qadın" filminin ən məsum və kiçik aktrisası Ludivine Sagnier-i də "fəttan qız" rolunda hekayəyə daxil edir.
