Ruben və sevgilisi Lou karvanla ölkəni gəzib konsertlər verən iki musiqiçidir. Lou mahnı oxuyur, Ruben isə nağara çalır. Bir gün Ruben qəfildən yalnız boğuq bir vızıltı eşitməyə başlayanda həyatı alt-üst olur. Həkim ona eşitmə qabiliyyətini itirdiyini və tezliklə tamamilə kar olacağını bildirir. Səssiz bir gələcəklə üz-üzə qalan Ruben, həyatını necə davam etdirəcəyinə dair çətin bir qərar verməlidir.
