Bir şərif, öldürülen dostunun Ellison Oswalt-ın həll edə bilmədiyi bir sıra cinayətləri araşdırmağa başlayır. Araştırma zamanı şəhərə yaxın kiçik bir ərazidə yaşayan yeni bir ailə ilə tanış olur. Gənc ana və onun 9 yaşlı əkiz oğulları təzə köçdükləri evin otağında ürkünc görüntülərin olduğu film makarası tapırlar. Bu filimləri izləmələri ilə başlayan bir lənət bütün evi əhatə edəcəkdir.
