Tom Mullen zəngin və uğurlu bir aviasiya şirkətinin sahibidir. Həyat yoldaşı Kate və oğlu Sean ilə xoşbəxt bir həyat sürərkən, bir gün oğullarının qaçırılması ilə hər şey alt-üst olur. Adi qaçırma hadisələrində olduğu kimi, cinayətkarlar uşağı qaytarmaq üçün fidyə tələb edirlər. Hər şey gözlənildiyi kimi getsə də, Tomun qəfil qəbul etdiyi son dərəcə riskli qərar hər kəsi, hətta qaçıranları belə şoka salır. Artıq təkcə Sean deyil, fidyə tələb edənlər də ovlanan tərəfə çevrilirlər.
