Şimali Atlantikdə üzən, 800 kayutlu və 13 göyərtəli "Poseidon" gəmisi Yeni il şənliyinə hazırlaşır. Bal zalına toplaşan izdiham başlarına gələcək fəlakətdən xəbərsiz əylənir. 30 metri aşan nəhəng dalğa gəmini alt-üst edir. Uçan sütunlar və başlayan yanğınlar böyük bir xaos yaradır. Sağ qalanlar xilas olmaq üçün gəmidən çıxış yolu tapmalıdırlar.
