Yeni dedektiv rütbəsinə yüksələn Sten Ceter, İndianada ənənə halını almış bir mərasimdə iştirak etmək üçün ən təcrübəli dedektivlərdən ibarət qrupla poker oynamağa gedir. Poker masası arxasında veteran dedektivlər keçmişdə yaşadıqları hadisələrdən bəhs edirlər. Oyun bitib masadan qalxan gənc dedektiv amansız bir psixopat tərəfindən ələ keçirilir və gözlərdən uzaq bir zirzəmiyə salınır. O, həm özünü, həm də özü ilə birlikdə girov saxlanılan gənc qızı xilas etmək üçün poker masasında dinlədiyi hekayələrdən istifadə edərək qarşısındakının kim olduğunu tapmalıdır.
