Böyük Depressiyanın parçaladığı bir qəsəbədə unudulmaz insanlar bir araya gəlir. Dövrünün mühafizəkarlığına baxmayaraq hər şeyi son dərəcə aydın görən kor pansioner Mr. Will, ağdərililərin yaşadığı bir qəsəbədə öz yerini çox yaxşı bilən qaradərili bir kişi və iki evliliyi təhdid edən sevgi üçbucağında yaşayan Wayne, Margaret və Viola. Bütün bu insanlar unudulmaz bir inanc, cəsarət, məhəbbət və ən əsası dözümlülük sınağından keçirlər.
