Beca (Anna Kendrick) insanların dediklərinə qulaq asmaqdansa, qulaqlıqlarından gələn musiqini dinləməyə üstünlük verən bir qızdır. Yeni universitetinə gəldikdə, özünü bir araya gəldikdə yaxşı oxuduqlarını düşünən kobud, şirin və qəribə qızlardan ibarət bir qrupun içində tapır. Beca bu vokal qrupunun ənənəvi aranjimanlarını və mükəmməl harmoniyalarını dəyişərək onları universitetin amansız akapella dünyasında zirvəyə daşımağa çalışır. Bəs bu yolun sonunda qızları nə gözləyir?
