Şübhəli əxlaqi dəyərlərə sahib kiçik sirk sehrbazı Oscar Diggs, tozlu Kanzasdan parlaq Oz Diyarına düşəndə şöhrət və sərvətin onu gözlədiyini düşünərək özünü çox şanslı hiss edir. Lakin çox keçmədən Theodora, Evanora və Glinda adlı üç cadugərlə qarşılaşır. Cadugərlər Oscarın gözlənilən o qüdrətli sehrbaz olduğuna inanmırlar. Oz Diyarının və sakinlərinin üzləşdiyi problemlərin içində istəmədən də olsa yer alan Oscar, çox gec olmadan kimin yaxşı, kimin pis olduğunu ayırd etməlidir.
