Victor Van Dort tezliklə gözəl Viktoriya ilə evlənməlidir. Lakin gənc adam özünü hələ evliliyə hazır hiss etmir. O, təkbaşına üzük taxma məşqi edərkən səhvən üzüyü Ölü Gəlinin barmağına keçirir və dərhal Ölümlər Diyarına aparılır. Ölümlər Diyarındakı həyat yaşayanların dünyasının darıxdırıcılığından uzaq və qat-qat daha əyləncəlidir. Buna baxmayaraq, heç nə Viktorun Viktoriyaya qovuşmasına mane ola bilməyəcək.
