Dr. Robert Campbell (Sean Connery) Amazon meşələrində xərçəngin müalicəsi üçün inqilabi bir dərman kəşf edir. Şirkət onun işini araşdırmaq üçün kimyaçı Dr. Rae Crane-i (Lorraine Bracco) göndərir. Əvvəlcə yola getməyən cütlük zamanla birlikdə işləməyə başlayır. Lakin meşədəki qanunsuz ağac kəsimi həm onların kəşfini, həm də təbiəti təhlükə altına qoyur.
