Göl kənarına düşərgəyə gələn insanların bir-bir ölümü ilə bioloq Nathan Bickerman (Colin Ferguson) doyumsuz bir məxluqun varlığından şübhələnməyə başlayır. Bu arada ov bələdçisi (Yancy Butler) də hərəkətə keçir. Ölənlərin sayı artdıqca, yerli polis vəziyyəti gizli saxlamaq və turist axınını davam etdirmək üçün əlindən gələni edir. Bu dəhşətli yırtıcı həqiqət üzə çıxarkən, soyuqqanlı qatillərin növbəti qurbanı kim olacaq?
