Manhettendəki "The Grill" restoranında nahar vaxtı qələbəliyin ən qızğın vaxtında kassadan pulun yoxa çıxdığı məlum olur. Məsuliyyətsiz aşpazların hamısı şübhə altındadır, lakin əsas şübhəli Pedrodur. Xəyalpərəst və dəcəl Pedro amerikalı ofisiant Culyaya aşiqdir. Restoranın sahibi Rəşid Pedronun "qanuniləşməsi" üçün sənədləşmə işlərində kömək edəcəyinə söz verib. Lakin Culya haqqında ortaya çıxan həqiqətlər hər kəsi şoka salır və bu hadisədən sonra Pedro şəhərin ən işlək mətbəxinin ocağını birdəfəlik söndürəcək.
