1970-ci illərdə bir qrup alim və əsgər, Amerika hökumətinin dəstəklədiyi bir kəşfiyyat ekspedisiyası üçün Sakit okeanda insan ayağı dəyməmiş, əfsanəvi bir adaya çıxır. Bu cənnət kimi adada nəhəng bir məxluqun ərazisinə daxil olduqlarını isə çox gec anlayacaqlar. Kəşfiyyat missiyaları sağ qalma mübarizəsinə çevrilərkən, bəşər övladının aid olmadığı bu ibtidai cənnətdə həyatda qalmağa çalışacaqlar.
