Amerikada böyüyən Liliyə atası bir gün çox kədərli bir xəbər verir: Çində yaşayan nənəsinə 4-cü mərhələ ağciyələ ağciyər xərçəngi diaqnozu qoyulub. Ailə bu xəbəri nənədən gizlədib, onun son günlərini ailəsi ilə birlikdə hüzur və xoşbəxtlik içində keçirməsinin daha doğru olacağına qərar verir. Lili belə ağır bir xəbəri gizlətməyin böyük haqsızlıq olduğunu düşünsə də, bu qərara tabe olur və nənəsi ilə -ona heç nə bildirmədən- vidalaşmaq üçün ailəsi ilə birlikdə Çinə yola düşür.
