Ölkəmizdə "Zombi" adı ilə nümayişə girən 1978-ci il istehsalı qorxu klassikası "Dawn of the Dead", zombi filmlərinin atası, məşhur rejissor George A. Romero-nun "Yaşayan Ölüler" seriyasının ikinci filmidir. Zombi istilasından qaçarkən bir ticarət mərkəzinə sığınan dörd nəfərin başına gələnlərdən bəhs edən filmdə Romero, ilk film olan "Yaşayan Ölülerin Gecesi"nin (Night of the Living Dead, 1968) malik olduğu siyasi alt mətnin dozasını bir qədər də artırır.
