Son olaraq "Before Midnight" filmi ilə tamaşaçıların qarşısına çıxan Richard Linklater-in ssenarisini yazıb rejissorluq etdiyi film, yeni boşanmış cütlük Mason və Oliviya-nın hekayəsindən bəhs edir. Onların tək övladı isə artıq valideynlərinin bir yerdə yaşamadığı reallığına alışmalı və bu yeni düzənə uyğunlaşmağı öyrənməlidir. Uşağın 6 yaşında başlayan bu təcrübəsini 12 illik bir böyümə mərhələsinə yayan rejissor, bu müddət ərzində baş verənləri böyük ekrana daşıyır.
