Bu sənədli film komandir Nil Armstronq, pilotlar Bazz Oldrin və Maykl Kollinsin "Apollo 11" missiyasını ətraflı şəkildə təqdim edir. 1969-cu ildə NASA-nın insanı ilk dəfə Aya göndərdiyi və Nil Armstronqun Ay səthinə ilk addımını atması ilə nəticələnən bu tarixi hadisə haqqında film, yeni tapılmış 70 mm-lik arxiv görüntüləri və 11.000 saatdan çox kataloqlaşdırılmamış səs yazıları əsasında hazırlanıb, daha əvvəl heç yerdə yayımlanmamış kadrları özündə əks etdirir.
