Liverpool'dan ayrılıb itkin düşmüş atasını axtarmaq üçün Nyu-Yorka gedən Jude, yolu Lucy ilə kəsişdikdən sonra özünü müharibə əleyhinə etirazların və rok-n-roll ruhlu bir həyatın mərkəzində tapır. Jude-un qardaşı Max-in Vyetnama getməsi cütlüyü yaşadıqları xəyal dünyasından ayırıb, onları sərt reallıqlarla üz-üzə qoyur. Bu reallıqlar onların dünyaya baxışını kökündən dəyişəcək. Beatles-in 33 mahnısı üzərində qurulmuş bir sevgi hekayəsi. Film klassik romantik janrın izi ilə getmək əvəzinə, sevginin gözü ilə mövcud düzəni sorğulayır.
