Seksi, amma bəxti gətirməyən Matt son münasibətinin dağıdıcı təsirlərindən qurtulmağa çalışan bir gəncdir. O, böyük bir qərar verərək 40 gün 40 gecə cinsi əlaqədən uzaq durmağa and içir. Lakin bu müddətdə mükəmməl qadın Erica ilə tanış olur və işlər gözlənilməz şəkildə mürəkkəbləşir. Matt andını pozmamaq üçün müqavimət göstərərkən, dostları onu yoldan çıxarmağa çalışır və Erica ilə aralarındakı cazibə getdikcə dözülməz həddə çatır.
